Welcome aboard!

Hopefully you're checking this out because you attended our first event, The Fly Fishing Film Tour in Traverse City. Thanks for supporting the group and helping us raise a few dollars to organize the effort and begin building a website that will become the heart of the organization. Soon we'll be announcing our second event which will be a fishing getaway where anyone interested can share a few "sodas" and help lay out the direction of this fledgling group. We're really looking forward to creating an engine where like minded individuals can share their passion for angling with others already in the sport and those who may have an interest, but have not yet wet a line. We're anxious to spend some time learning new waters through the connections made here and doing some good for the resource along the way. Please make your thoughts known. If you have an idea for a location for an outing or have a conservation related matter that you'd like to bring to the group, please let don't be shy. Write a post and we'll get the conversation started. Once we stand up the actual website, we'll transfer all the communications to that location and abandon this blog. The social aspect of angling is hopefully going to be a huge part of the strength of this group and the new site will offer a number of ways to stay in touch with other anglers throughout the state and maybe learn a few new things or try some new waters.
